These dedicated artisans and specialists work at each station to ensure that your customizations are brought to life, crafting a vehicle that reflects your unique taste and driving aspirations. Our Engineering and Quality Control teams are committed to maintaining the highest standards, ensuring that every step of the process meets our rigorous specifications.

With a comprehensive inventory of parts and the integration of all production elements, we track your vehicle’s progress through our proprietary software system. This approach guarantees that we meet your expectations in terms of both quality and timeline, delivering your dream vehicle in just 14‑16 weeks, depending on the model. With Velocity, your personalized driving experience is just around the corner.

Station 01 Body Mockup
Station 1

Metal

Each Re-Engineered Classic built by Velocity begins its ground-up transformation in the Station 1 metal department. Sandblasting, powder coating, metal work, and primer are all performed in this stage to ensure a solid foundation for future stations to give each restomod better fit and finish than these cars and trucks ever saw back in the ‘60s and ‘70s.

Station 02 Roll Cage And Exhaust
Station 2

EXHAUST & ROLL CAGE

In this station, every Re-Engineered Classic gets a custom-fabricated exhaust system starting with high-quality headers, Velocity-made exhaust pipes, and performance mufflers. Classic truck restomods equipped with a roll cage, such as the vintage Ford Bronco, Chevy K5 Blazer, and IH Scout II, also get a custom-made roll cage in Station 2, ensuring a seamless integration that enhances safety and style.

Station 03 Body Prep
Station 3

BODY PREP / MOCK-UP

Details matter, and this is especially true in the art of bodywork and paint preparation. In Station 3, each classic car or truck body is stripped to bare metal, providing a fresh canvas for our skilled body shop technicians. During this stage, attention is paid to every detail to make sure that the body gaps and panel alignments meet our exacting standards before reaching paint or final assembly. This sets the foundation for a classic vehicle that is reborn as uniquely yours.

Station 04 Paint
Station 4

PAINT

Rather than farming out paint work to outside shops like most restoration companies do, every step of the painting process on a Velocity build is performed 100% within our facility, guaranteeing unmatched quality control from the primer to the final sheen. Skilled artisans apply custom BASF Glasurit paint to your vehicle’s body tub and panels, bringing your vision to life with vibrant colors and a flawless finish thanks to four state-of-the-art down-draft paint booths. Station 4 is also where the underbody and engine bay are coated with Raptor Liner for added durability and protection.

Station 05 Electrical
Station 5A

ELECTRICAL

Station 5 is where your classic car dream starts to take shape. In Station 5A, each Re-Engineered Classic is fitted with a brand-new wiring harness expertly crafted for your vehicle and its specific options, and then seamlessly integrated into the freshly painted body. Your skilled technicians assemble the Dakota Digital dashboard and electrical components with precision, ensuring that every connection reflects the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Station 06 Chassis
Station 5B

CHASSIS

While expert electrical technicians bring your vehicle’s body to life, Station 5B is where the drivetrain and suspension specialists are hard at work assembling components onto the frame, including the axles and brake components. By the end of the week, the painted body is united with the completed chassis, marking a major milestone in the creation of your personalized vehicle. This harmonious fusion of form and function sets the stage for an unparalleled driving experience.

Station 10
Station 6

MECHANICAL

Now that the body and chassis have been united, Station 6 is where your Re-Engineered Classic comes to life. Depending on your chosen model, the Ford Bronco, Ford F-Series, and Ford Mustang are given the powerful Gen III 5.0L Coyote V8 from Ford Performance, while the Chevy K5 Blazer, Chevy C/K Truck, and International Scout get the GenV 6.2L LT1 V8 from Chevrolet Performance. This station is where the vehicle is fired up for the first time.

Station 07
Station 7

ASSEMBLY & TRIM SHOP

With an in-house trim shop, the interior of each Re-Engineered Classic is expertly crafted to match your exact specifications, ensuring a personalized touch that reflects your style while maintaining the vintage appeal. In Station 7, all components of your vehicle come together in perfect harmony. The interior, body panels, roll cage, and bumpers are assembled and aligned, creating a cohesive and stunning masterpiece that is uniquely yours.

Station 08
Station 8

TEST & TUNE

Station 8 is where the Velocity Difference truly shines. Each vehicle undergoes rigorous testing on our in-house dynamometer, ensuring that your modern drivetrain is precisely tuned for ultimate performance and daily drivability. Dedicated Velocity technicians then align the suspension and conduct test drives of up to 500 miles to confirm that every component of your classic restomod car or truck functions as intended. This thorough process guarantees an exceptional driving experience, delivering excitement and reliability every time you take the wheel

Station 09
Station 9

QUALITY CONTROL

While each reborn vehicle undergoes comprehensive quality control checks at every station, Station 9 is the final quality control step where tenured automotive QC experts conduct a highly detailed inspection. This final stage allows Velocity to ensure that every aspect of your vehicle meets the highest standards and exceeds your expectations upon delivery. Every detail is tested and inspected to ensure that your classic restomod vehicle truly deserves the Velocity name, ready to deliver the unparalleled driving experience you’ve been waiting for.
