When you hear “Corsa Rally,” it's understandable if& you picture supercars streaking across scenic highways. The 2025 Corsa Florida Rally (July 24-27) did not disappoint as it was a rolling dreamscape of McLarens, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris carving their way from Tampa to Key West. But in the sea of modern exotics, one machine stood out with unapologetic Americana: the Velocity Street Series 1971 Ford F-100.

This wasn’t just a promotional cruise. It was a proving ground. Velocity entered the rally with something the other participants didn’t expect: a vintage icon with modern performance DNA. Our goal wasn’t to compete for speed or spectacle—it was to prove something far more meaningful. We set out to demonstrate that our builds are more than beautiful—they’re built for the real world.

2025 Corsa Florida Rally

With Velocity's Todd Weld behind the wheel, the Metallic Seafoam F-100 made the entire journey from Tampa down through the winding coastal highways of South Florida, ending in sun-soaked Key West. But that wasn’t the finish line. From there, it was another leg of the journey all the way back to Velocity HQ in Pensacola.

In total? Nearly 1,000 miles of real-world driving in Florida’s unpredictable summer heat. Stop-and-go traffic. Open-road stretches. Tropical humidity. Blistering sun. Rainstorms. It’s the kind of challenge that reveals whether a build is truly roadworthy, and the F-100's Coyote V8 and Roadster Shop chassis performed flawlessly.

Wherever the rally went, the F-100 turned heads. While supercars flashed by with their predictable aerodynamic edges and exotic badges, Velocity's Re-Engineered Classic Ford F-100 drew eyes for a different reason—presence. With its vintage body, lowered stance, and unmistakable American rumble, this classic street turned every stop into an impromptu Q&A session and/or photo op, as gearheads, young and old, swarmed to learn more about the build.

The Corsa Rally was our chance to prove what Velocity’s Re-Engineered Classics are really about. We’re not building museum pieces.
