This 1973 International Scout II is finished in custom Brittany Blue paint, with a reconditioned original removable hardtop in an accentuating gray color.
Description
JW Speaker LED headlights modernize the front end but maintain the retro look. Both front and rear bumpers are the original and have been re-chromed, matching the wheels and the rest of the exterior trim.
The cabin has an old-school look but has been updated with the features you want. A Vintage Air heating and air conditioning system is tucked into the dash, which coincidentally is custom-built with Dakota Digital round gauges for the period-appropriate look. The interior is wrapped in custom gray vinyl. As a Velocity stamp on the interior, you’ll find a custom powder-coated 4-point roll bar welded into the powder-coated chassis.
The biggest change to our 1973 International Scout II is underneath. Powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 with 430 horsepower and driven by a 470E transmission, Dana 44 front axle, and 9-inch rear axle – this build hauls! We maxed out ground clearance by jacking it up with a 6-inch suspension lift and 17-inch Pacer wheels and added Wilwood disc brakes with Hydroboost to bring it to a stop.
