A Brief History of the Classic International Scout
The classic International Scout holds a special place in the hearts of off-road enthusiasts and vintage car collectors alike. Produced as the Scout 80/800 from 1960 through 1970 and then as the Scout II from 1971 to 1980, the Scout was one of the early pioneers in the SUV market, competing with iconic models like the Ford Bronco and Jeep CJ. The design of the Velocity Signature Series International Scout II retains the rugged charm of the original 1971-80 Scout II, adding only subtle refinements that bring this truck into the 21st century. Each Signature Series build is finished in a BASF Glasurit paint job—lead image trucks are Midnight Red, Carolina Blue, and North Sky Blue (left to right)—complemented by Holley RetroBright LED headlights, AMP Research power-retractable side steps, chrome bumpers, and polished 18-inch bullet-style aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires.
Both of these Velocity Signature Series IH Scout II builds are equipped with the optional Blackout Package.Buyers can further personalize their builds by adding options/packages like the removable OEM-style hardtop, unique body graphics, Blackout Package, and Heritage Edition package.
