The Ford Mustang is easily one of Hollywood's go-to movie cars, but with 60 years of heritage, the rugged classic Ford Bronco has carved out its own cinematic legacy. The Bronco has rumbled across the silver screen in every generation, including the Bullnose Bronco (1980-86) in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Bricknose Bronco (1987-91) in My Cousin Vinny, Aeronose Bronco (1992-96) in Tyler Sheridan's Hell Or High Water, and even the 2004 Bronco Concept in Rampage (shown below).
No matter what genre of movies or body style of Broncos you prefer, there’s a big-screen moment where the two collide. Check out our favorite Ford Bronco movie appearances below.

The Racing Scene
The racing bug bit actor James Garner after his 1966 film Grand Prix, which led him to produce The Racing Scene in 1969. This documentary shows some wonderful old-school racing action, and the movie begins with Garner piloting a race-prepped classic Ford Bronco in the 1969 Baja 1000. From off-road to open wheel to endurance racing, this film captures it all, and if you're a fan of vintage motorsports, get ready for a fun 90 minutes!
John Bronco
From documentary to mockumentary, the short film John Bronco is equal parts entertaining and engaging. On one side, you get a predictable amount of humor from the always-funny Walton Goggins, but you'll be surprised at how much historical accuracy the film features throughout its abundance of historical footage.
Zoolander
Personally, Zoolander is one of my guilty pleasure movies, and this scene lives rent-free in my head when I hear Wham!'s Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go. As goofy as this movie is, what's not to love about some good buddies going out for an Orange Mocha Frappuccino and ending up in a gasoline fight!
Need For Speed
The Ford Mustang was definitely the star car of 2014's Need For Speed, but one of the most recognizable versions of the Bronco was also used in the movie. During the desert chase scene, a Bronco looking like the famous race truck, Big Oly, was one of the vehicles pursuing the Shelby Mustang. If you've watched the original Gone In 60 Seconds, then you'll know that Big Oly also made a brief appearance in that flim.
Top Gun: Maverick
There's plenty of classic metal on display in Top Gun: Maverick, including Penny Benjamin's Porsche 911, the Kawasaki Ninja that "Maverick" rides, and even the enemy F-14 fighter jet he later steals. But Bronco lovers will surely have spotted the early Ford Bronco when we're introduced to "Rooster."
Speed
As the plot for 1994's Speed develops, Keanu Reeves' character attempts to track down the doomed bus in his first-generation Ford Bronco. This scene might be the hardest you'll ever see a classic Bronco pushed in an urban setting!
2 Guns
In 2 Guns (2013), a second-generation Ford Bronco plays a fitting role alongside the film’s gritty, action-packed tone. The Bronco’s tough, utilitarian look makes it the perfect hero truck during the key bank robbery scene and a pivotal desert chase scene.
Ocean's Eleven
During the character introduction of 2001's Ocean's Eleven, the "Mormon twins" (played by Casey Affleck and Scott Caan) reveal their competitive nature by drag racing a third-gen Ford Bronco with a matching radio-controlled version.
The Chase
Anthony Kiedis and Flea (from the Red Hot Chili Peppers) make a comical cameo in the 1994 film The Chase behind the wheel of a modified Ford Bronco.
