Crafting Classics: Velocity Restorations' 2024 Year in Review 31 December 2024 All Articles Previous / Next With 2024 in the rearview, Velocity Restorations has once again proven why it’s the undisputed leader in the classic car restomod industry. Velocity Restorations has always been guided by a vision to breathe new life into classic vehicles, blending timeless design with modern performance to create works of art on wheels. This year, we not only fulfilled that mission but took it to new heights. From an expanded model lineup to exclusive new designs, Velocity continues to raise the bar for excellence while offering classic car collectors and enthusiasts exciting American cars and trucks they can enjoy year-round. Following a strong 2023 that saw the addition of several new models (such as the first-gen Chevy K5 Blazer, classic Ford F-Series, and ‘67-‘68 Ford Mustang), Velocity added to its lineup again in 2024 while reaching significant milestones. Join us as we celebrate the past year’s highlights and look forward to continued innovation and craftsmanship in 2025. RESERVE YOUR 2025 VELOCITY NOW Commitment To The Early Ford Bronco Velocity has specialized in building the best early Ford Bronco restomods since 2012, and this year, we celebrated a milestone that speaks volumes about our expertise and dedication: completing our 500th Bronco restomod build. Like everything we do, this milestone build pays homage to the past while paving a pathway to the future. With its distinctive paint job, unique graphics, and color-matched billet trim, Velocity’s 500th Bronco restomod already stands out, but it’s also the foundation for Velocity’s next-gen builds. For starters, this build marks the introduction of Velocity’s all-new Heritage Series package on our classic Ford Bronco restomods. Stay tuned for full details on this package, but key details include a more luxurious interior with a custom center console, a larger infotainment display, and better integration of the HVAC vents and controls. Another key innovation of the 500th Bronco is the use of Ford’s Gen 4X 5.0L Coyote V8 from Ford Performance. We proudly became the first restoration shop to successfully swap a Ford Gen 4X 5.0L Coyote V8 into a restomod, continuing our accomplishments as an industry leader. This groundbreaking achievement was more than just a technical challenge—it was a labor of love that pushed the boundaries of what is possible in the world of classic car restoration. The Gen 4X Coyote V8 is a marvel of modern engineering, known for its power, efficiency, and reliability. Integrating it into a vintage vehicle required precision and ingenuity, but the results were well worth the effort. Based on Ford’s exciting Gen 4 Coyote lineup, the Gen 4X Coyote is a tuner-friendly crate engine with a single throttle body and programmable ECM. Again, stay tuned for more information on Velocity’s future use of this advanced engine. Broader Lineup Of Classic Chevy Trucks Joining the always-exciting 1969-72 Chevy K5 Blazer restomod, Velocity added its classic Chevy C10 street performance truck earlier in the year and the more rugged classic Chevy K10 4x4 in December. These iconic trucks are celebrated for their timeless design and unparalleled versatility, and we were thrilled to bring them into the Velocity Restorations family. Our C10 and K10 restomods combine the best of both worlds: the timeless appeal of vintage Chevy trucks and the convenience of modern upgrades. From state-of-the-art suspensions and high-performance drivetrains to luxurious interiors and cutting-edge technology, our builds have redefined what these classic trucks can offer. The reception from clients and the wider automotive community alike has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re excited to continue refining and expanding these projects in the years to come. Mustang Convertible After launching its 1967-68 Ford Mustang restomod with the Fastback body style last year, Velocity launched its Mustang Convertible restomod just in time for summer. Like the Fastback, the Velocity Signature Series Ford Mustang Convertible retains the authentic look of the original car, which, in this case, includes an OE-style soft top available in multiple colors. These vehicles celebrate open-road freedom and vintage style, reimagined with modern performance and comfort. With the ability to choose between a hardtop and a softtop, Velocity gives its customers more choices than ever to own a classic Ford Mustang. Scout II Velocity has been restoring classic International Scouts almost as long as it’s been building Broncos, but this fall, we debuted the Velocity Signature Series International Scout II. As one of the most beloved off-road vehicles of its era, the Scout II holds a unique place in the hearts of enthusiasts. At Velocity Restorations, we’ve taken this classic and given it new life, combining its rugged heritage with modern advancements. Our Scout II builds are designed for adventure, with powerful engines, robust 4x4 capabilities, and luxurious interiors that make even the toughest trails a pleasure to tackle. The response to these builds has been phenomenal, and we’re proud to have played a role in bringing this iconic vehicle back to the forefront of the automotive world. Looking Ahead Each project we completed this year, from the first bolt tightened to the final drive test, was a labor of love fueled by the shared goal of delivering unparalleled quality and creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. This year solidified Velocity’s reputation as pioneers in the automotive restoration industry and showed that even after 12 years in the business, we will always push the boundaries for classic car innovation. It’s easy to see that Velocity went full throttle in 2024, and we’re not letting off the gas in 2025! RESERVE YOUR 2025 VELOCITY NOW Share this article
